Metro Health Hospitalwww.metrohealth.net Metro Health Hospital is a 238-bed general acute care osteopathic teaching hospital serving Kent County, Michigan, and surrounding counties. Most of Metro Health’s services are offered at the hospital, however, several frequently used outpatient services are available in physician offices throughout the area. Metro Health was one of the earliest adopters of Ensemble and remains one of the technology’s most ambitious innovators. Over the course of a six-month engagement in the summer of 2007, J2’s role within the Metro Health team encompassed a number of Ensemble-related activities including research and documentation into legacy interfaces, validation and optimization of recently developed interfaces, and implementation of new interfaces to support Metro Health’s strategic application development plans. J2’s involvement in the project enabled Metro Health to effect a temporary increase in its development capacity, with smooth transitions at the beginning and the conclusion of the engagement.
